U.S. Department of State Travel Advisories
Stay informed with official travel advisories from the U.S. Department of State. This resource provides up-to-date safety and security information for every country, helping travelers make informed decisions before and during their trips. Each destination is rated on a four-level scale, from standard precautions to “Do Not Travel,” based on current risks such as crime, civil unrest, health concerns, and natural disasters.
Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)
Stay connected and informed while traveling abroad with the U.S. Department of State’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP). U.S. citizens can enroll their international trips to receive important safety updates, travel alerts, and messages from the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate. STEP also helps the State Department contact travelers during emergencies such as natural disasters, civil unrest, or family emergencies at home.
CDC – Travel Health Notices
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) provides essential health-related travel notices to help you stay safe and informed. These updates cover disease outbreaks, health risks, vaccination requirements, and other medical concerns for destinations around the world. Whether you're planning a vacation or a business trip, check the CDC's guidance to ensure you're prepared and protected.
United Kingdom – Entry Requirements (ETA)
Travelers visiting or transiting through the United Kingdom are required to obtain a UK Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) prior to arrival, including U.S. passport holders. This digital travel authorization is linked to your passport and is required for tourism, business travel, and airport connections in the UK.
The ETA is typically approved within 24 hours and remains valid for up to two years or until your passport expires. Even travelers connecting through a UK airport must have an approved ETA before boarding their flight. Applying in advance helps ensure a smooth and seamless entry into the United Kingdom.
Europe Entry Requirements (ETIAS & EES) - Coming Soon
Travelers visiting many European destinations will soon see new entry procedures as the European Union rolls out both the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) and the Entry/Exit System (EES).
ETIAS will require visa-exempt travelers to complete an online travel authorization before departure, similar to the U.S. ESTA and UK ETA systems.
EES will modernize border entry procedures by electronically recording passport and biometric information when travelers enter and exit participating European countries.
These systems are expected to begin rolling out in late 2026, and travelers should monitor official updates as implementation dates are finalized.
